David Ball Salt Festival Concert

David Ball performing at the Grand Saline Salt FestivalSongwriter. Vocalist. Musician. Grammy Award Winner.

David Ball was born in South Carolina, growing up in a very musical environment. Everyone in the family played an instrument. Starting out on guitar, David also played piano, and later, the bass fiddle. “I played everything from Classical to Bluegrass.” David found Austin, TX to be another fertile musical landscape, where he moved with Uncle Walt’s Band in the late 1970’s. “All kinds of great music was being made in Texas, but Bob Wills is still the King.” In the mid 1980’s, a publishing deal brought David to Nashville.
